In the ever growing Nigerian fashion industry, every year see an influx of new and emerging designers. 360 Creative Hub is a co-working and co-sewing space situated in Lagos, Nigeria. And after a year of observation, we realized that although talented, these designers beyond creating and designing have no clue what they are doing. This is why we started the Fashion Acceleration Program, an annual fashion and business program now in its second year.
The Fashion Acceleration Program – a 3-month program – aims at education young fashion entrepreneurs on the business side of fashion. We achieve this by collaborating with top industry persons in areas ranging from beauty to tech to editorials to facilitate, lecture and mentor these fashion entrepreneurs on the real business of fashion.
This year we’ve accepted 8 entrepreneurs including menswear, womenswear and accessories designers. And collaborated with professionals including Markus Becker, an international business consultant; Chidera Muoka, former editor of Guardian Life Magazine; and Bolanle Banwo, Brand Identity & UI/UX Designer amongst others. The program will run from June to August, 2019.
For the sake of providing funding for these young entrepreneurs, we have collaborated with Emory University to provide 5, 000 USD grant to a selected few.
360 Creative Hub’s primary aim is to educate and empower young fashion entrepreneurs.
