the annual fashion and business programme has started and the accepted cohorts have been introduced to the world as well as to a few facilitators. The Fashion Acceleration Programme 2.0 started on a great note on Thursday, June 6, 2019 while the FAP cohorts were introduced and they went through an orientation Programme session.
The accelerators include Okoli Chinazo Sarah, Showunmi Iremide, Mbikpo Blessing, Trakiriowei Jacintha, Olukotun Yemisi, Onikoyi Zainab, Iyanuoluwa Ojekanmi, Diayne Mgbakor. The orientation programme basically covered the overview of what will be taught and shared in the programme as well as the benefits and prizes to be won at the end of the programme.
We had the pleasure of having Markus Becker, CEO of Idea Seed Africa, kick start the Fashion Acceleration Programme on Friday, 7th of June, 2019. On this day, Markus treated the topic Entrepreneurship Concepts while taking his time to teach the F.A.P 2019 Cohorts the essence of identifying one’s target market and why it is important to understand one’s business values and purpose.
Other points he buttressed on were:
•How to identify business opportunities
•How and why start a business;
•Understanding customer needs and competitive analysis;
•Testing your idea and prototyping .
He also enlightened them on how identifying one’s target market affects communications strategy and of course, content creation.
